Biography
Margo co-founded Meriton Networks, a successful Ottawa-based start-up, where she was instrumental in raising over $75 million in equity financing. In addition, Margo spearheaded one of the quickest M&A transactions that successfully closed in just over one month. She played a vital part in hiring Meriton’s worldwide team and setting up office locations for offshore development and to serve Meriton’s customers around the world.
As her major performance benchmark, Margo wants to work closely with any stage of organization facing unsettling conditions and help them succeed by off-loading the leaders of some of the critical business priorities and allowing them to accelerate the pace and keep the team focused on the big goals. As a consequence, she offers an enviable exchange rate and adds hours to an executive's day!
Some of the duties Margo effectively handles include managing the 'paper' in a financial transaction, writing and organizing Board minutes, finding space and negotiating leases, recruiting critical hires and setting up an HR infrastructure. Through all her experiences, Margo has earned a reputation for being a reliable and seasoned executive team member.
Margo has an undergraduate degree from Carleton University and an MBA from Ottawa University. In Ottawa in 2005, she was recognized as a leader in her field, receiving the prestigious Vision Awards as Human Resources Professional of the Year.
