Biography
Prior to being appointed CEO of CCPPP in January 2011, Mark led an international consulting practice focused on global trade, investment and innovation strategy. Previously, he was the founding President and CEO of the Ontario Centres of Excellence, driving successful commercialization of new technologies, developing the next generation of entrepreneurs and enabling new company start-ups through seed capital investments across priority sectors. During a long and distinguished career with the government of Canada, Mark served as Executive Director at Industry Canada and in the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade as a senior diplomat in Nigeria, Mexico, Malaysia, Japan and the United States with responsibility for Canada's trade, investment, and science and technology relationships.
