
Biography
Mark S. Smith is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations. He holds a Ph.D. in political science with concentrations in American politics and public law from Claremont Graduate University, where he also earned his M.A. in politics concentrating in political philosophy. He received his B.A. in political science from Rutgers University. His research engages American political theory, racial and ethnic politics in the United States, critical approaches to constitutional law, and normative theories of justice, while exploring the intersection of law, power, and identity in the American political tradition.
