Biography
Maryam is an experienced lecturer teaching in Counselling and Mental Health courses offered by the School in Psychological Therapies and Mental Health. She is a BACP registered Psychotherapist.
After completing her studies in Islamic model of psychotherapy, Maryam went onto to complete her PG Diploma in Integrative counselling and her interest in the inclusion of religion, culture and spirituality in mainstream models of psychotherapy grew driven by values of social justice and inclusion to make psychological care fair and accessible to all.
Maryam works in private practice working with a range of conditions and specialising in working Bereavement, Trauma and Transcultural psychotherapy.
