Biography
Mary Jane is one of Canada’s most active independent advisors in corporate brand and positioning strategy. She works with category leaders in the public and private sectors including in professional services (McCarthy Tétrault, SNC-Lavalin, LoyaltyOne), education (University of Toronto, OCAD University, Centennial College), financial services (Sun Life Financial, State Street, OMERS, CPPIB, Industrial Alliance, Birch Hill Private Equity), social innovation (MaRS, Social Capital Partners) and culture (TIFF, The Stratford Festival, Canadian Museum of Nature).
Prior to her career in brand strategy Mary Jane spent a decade as a management consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and its predecessor firms in Canada. She is currently a client advisor in brand strategy at the MaRS Discovery District, a Rotman School of Business mentor; an RGD Affiliate and a member of NextGen Leaders: an independent network of professionals working in leadership and organizational development. Mary Jane has also held volunteer board roles in the arts, financial services and literacy.
