Matthew is an experienced, award-winning journalist who can speak directly to management issues confronting U.S. churches on a daily basis.
Matthew serves as director of editorial for the Church Law and Tax Group at Christianity Today. He edits the Church Law & Tax Report newsletter, ChurchLawAndTax.com, and the ManagingYourChurch.com blog, and leads an editorial team responsible for numerous publications, websites, and print and digital resources. He also writes the Church Law & Tax Update and Church Management Update eNewsletters, and the "Office Toolkit" column for the quarterly Leadership Journal.
Prior to his current role, Matthew worked for several years as a business reporter and business editor for a small, regional daily newspaper in Colorado.
He has won several awards for his writing and editing work throughout his career.
Matthew has spoken at several conferences, including 2013 Common Ground. He also has provided guest presentations for classes at Denver Seminary and for webinars with a variety of organizations, including XPastor.org and ECFA. He also has provided radio and newspaper interviews on a range of topics, such as giving to churches.
