Biography
Maurice Gray is an author, editor, speaker and comedian.
He has two published novels: To Whom Much Is Given and the sequel, All Things Work Together and a third in the works, Female Problems (scheduled for release in June 2012). Maurice also has short stories appearing in three anthologies: Blessed Assurance (June 2003 from Literally Speaking Publishing), The Soul Of A Man (June 2009 from Peace In The Storm Publishing) and Home Again (November 2010 from Micah 6:8 Publishing).
He serves on the faculty of the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers Conferences, where he evaluates manuscripts for conferees and teaches workshops. Along with Dr. Linda Beed and Jeanette Hill, he is a member of the Damascus Road Artists. As a Christian comedian, Maurice has worked with the likes of James “The Storyteller” Ford and Pat “Sister Betty” G'orge-Walker.
Maurice also edits fiction and nonfiction manuscripts; his projects include Teressa Leath’s And Then Some and Linda Beed’s Business Unusual.
Maurice served as an HIV/AIDS Prevention Counselor for Beautiful Gate Outreach Center for more than nine years. In this capacity, he regularly educated men, women and teenagers about this disease.
Maurice is a member of Bethel AME Church in Wilmington, DE, where he is coordinator of the Singles Ministry and active in the Men's Chorus, the Sanctuary Choir and the Young Adult Network. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and of the Greater Newark Area Toastmasters club. He lives in New Castle, DE with his family.
