Biography
If you know Melody Adhami, it comes as no surprise that, at barely into her 30s, she is the Co-founder, President and COO of an award-winning mobile marketing agency.
When you get to know Melody Adhami, it quickly becomes evident why, five years ago, she quit her secure job to pursue an entrepreneurial dream of pioneering the mobile space.
Enter Plastic Mobile: Melody’s baby, largest professional achievement, source of too many wonderful firsts to count and the ultimate outlet for her tireless perfectionism.
Plastic Mobile has proven the skeptics who questioned her career move half a decade ago unequivocally wrong, and continues to prove the value of her superlative intuition. Plastic emulates Melody’s professional nature and personal mantra: settling for okay is simply not an option when there is no good reason why you can’t strive for perfection.
In fact, Melody Adhami is kind of a big deal in the mobile world, not that she’d ever let on. In 2010, The Globe and Mail rightfully dubbed her “the Queen of Apps,” in acknowledgment of her intrepid determination to advance the mobile space into the future with style, poise and perfection - both hers and Plastic’s.
When she’s not on a podium or on camera waxing poetic about the endless possibilities of the evolving device in your pocket, Melody Adhami is establishing innovative strategies and forging relationships with recognized clients such as AirMiles, Pizza Pizza, CBC and Rogers, among others.
Melody has led Plastic Mobile through a number of successful mobile initiatives to ensure creativity and user experience are paramount. Under her leadership, Plastic Mobile continues to develop many first-in-class projects, including presenting the first ever-video streaming iPad app as well as Canada’s award-winning, first-ever Canadian pizza ordering application.
Melody’s determination to innovate and be exceptional helped Plastic Mobile to win the 2011 Webby award (the Oscar’s of the Internet) for mobile shopping, among a sagging shelf of other accolades for innovation and excellence in the mobile space.
Prior to launching Plastic Mobile, Melody earned her stripes working with such high- profile companies as Bayer, Novartis and Unilever. She graduated in 2006 with an MBA from DeGroote School of Business, majoring in Strategic Marketing. No one was shocked when Melody was voted “most likely to be a successful entrepreneur” in her class.
