Biography

Michael Hoffman practices as a psychotherapist and author. His writing and counseling, based on the depth psychology teachings of Dr. Carl Jung and Siddhartha Gautama Buddha teach the emotional and spiritual freedoms everyone deserves. His talks, articles and doctoral papers discuss mythology, archetypal psychology, mindfulness meditation and recovery from substance abuse and other obsessive disorders. He holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute and Master's Level Registered Addiction Specialist license from the Breining Institute. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and earned a B.A. in English Literature and Secondary Education from the University of California at Santa Barbara. As Director of Corporate Communications for Life Fitness, Inc., he orchestrated the introduction of computerized fitness equipment to the United States, Europe, South America and Asia. He won the NFL Licensee of the Year Award in 1989 and earned the Public Relations Society of America's Protos Award for Excellence in Trade Journalism. Hoffman is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the Breining Institute College for Advanced Study of Addictive Disorders.
