A recent study from USA Today shows that polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals,” are nearly 11 times the prescribed amount in the water of Augusta-Richmond County.
According to Dr. Michael Murray, a biology professor at Augusta University, PFAS have been around for nearly a century, but the concerns they pose in our drinking water are a more recent discovery.
