Biography

Dr. Michaela Porubanova is a cognitive scientist. She directs the visual cognition laboratory in the Department of Psychology, where she and her students and collaborators study how emotion, expectation violation, and other higher-order factors affect visual cognition. Her papers have appeared in journals such as Plos One, Culture and Cognition, and Timing and Time Perception. She also co-authored several book chapters for Routledge and Bloomsbury Publishing.
