Biography
Michelle Brownlee has been with Smart Prosperity Institute (previously Sustainable Prosperity) since 2013. Immediately before joining SPI, Michelle taught Economics at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Prior to that she spent over 10 years in the federal government advising senior decision makers on energy, resource and climate change policy and programs, mostly at Natural Resources Canada and the Privy Council Office. She holds a BA from Mount Allison University and an MA in Economics from Queens University. Michelle has published peer-reviewed journal articles on climate change and is a lifelong believer that individual consumer actions make a meaningful difference.
