Biography

A passionate, public health innovator committed to insuring health care access for the most vulnerable in our society. I began my career working for Fortune 500 companies, Deloitte Consulting and Ernst & Young LLP, on public and private sector hospital finance and strategy projects before pursuing my calling to help build health centers in blighted underserved communities. I was appointed CEO of, the Mid-Atlantic Association of Community Health Centers, a federally funded Primary Care Association of federally qualified health center clinic sites where I worked to enlarge our network from 39 clinic sites to 136 sites with combined operating revenues of $250 million and providing health services to about 300,000 residents in Maryland and Delaware. As a result of outstanding public health leadership, I was awarded the Norton-Wilson Award by the National Association of Community Health Centers. I have served on countless federal and state commissions addressing the needs of underserved populations.
