Biography
Mike Pelletier has more than 20 years of marketing management experience across Fortune 500 companies, startups, and founder-led businesses. He is the Founder of Thrival Health, a health education and advisory platform, and an Adjunct Professor in the MBA program at Loyola Marymount University. He formerly served as Global Marketing Director for the Call of Duty franchise.
Mike has worked extensively as a strategic advisor and consultant, advising organizations across a wide range of sizes and stages. His work includes solopreneurs, early and pre-launch startups, venture-backed growth companies, and mature multinational organizations. His engagements span board advisory roles, ongoing strategic partnerships, and project-based consulting focused on brand strategy, positioning, go-to-market execution, and organizational alignment.
Previously, Mike spent seven years at Activision in Brand Management and Consumer Marketing. During this period, he helped oversee major global launches, including Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the largest entertainment launch of 2014. Earlier in his career, he held marketing and sales roles at Dell, Disney, and Newell Brands.
Mike also served as a partner and Head of Marketing at the mobile gaming startup Wonder, where he later remained an advisor through its acquisition by Atari. He has advised gaming and technology companies including X2 Blockchain Games, where he helped bring an immersive cinematic board game experience to market and secured a strategic partnership with Amazon.
He has traveled to over 60 countries across 6 continents and lived in 6 major global business centers. Mike holds an undergraduate business degree from McGill University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has received commendations from the California Lieutenant Governor and the California State Assembly for his work in the nonprofit sector, where he taught a 6-week intensive course on business and leadership on the LMU campus to underserved youth and continues to serve as a mentor. Outside of his professional work, Mike is a 90s hip hop and house music DJ and enjoys basketball, beach volleyball, mentoring, and coaching. He lives in Marina del Rey with his wife and their two children.
