Moonhoon Choi

Biography
Moonhoon Choi is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Loyola Marymount University whose teaching and scholarship explore the intersection of public relations, digital media, and sport. His work examines how organizations communicate, how audiences engage, and how evolving media platforms reshape the relationships between organizations and their audiences.
Drawing on experience across academia and industry, Choi brings an applied perspective to strategic communication, audience engagement, and media change. He is particularly interested in how communication builds meaningful relationships, shapes public perceptions and experiences, and connects organizations with the communities and audiences they serve.
Before joining LMU, Choi taught at Gallaudet University and California State University, San Bernardino. He earned his M.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Florida and his Ph.D. in Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
