Biography
As Director of Engagement Nation Hahn focuses on dynamic storytelling across digital platforms, building a digital culture for brands and organizations, guiding and creating online communities, and strategic communications and message development.
Nation has launched numerous properties into the social era, trained high profile public figures to communicate via digital media and led complex website redesign projects. Nation has also worked with political and nonprofit clients on direct mail, email campaigns, grassroots advocacy and more.
As part of New Kind, he was the Senior Online Strategist for the Coalition to Protect All NC Families campaign. He led an online fundraising program that set a North Carolina record for money raised online during a statewide campaign. He also led online advertising, collaborated on all of the online video, participated in the national consultant meetings each week, participated in broader strategic discussions and planning, and led a successful national blog outreach strategy with a focus on building community around the campaign.
He is on the Board of the Pamlico Tar River Foundation. He also serves on the Z. Smith Reynolds Community Leadership Council, AIGA Raleigh Advisory Board and the UNC Chapel Hill Young Alumni Leadership Council.
He has a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from UNC Chapel Hill. He has previously served as the Director of Digital Media for the United Football League. Prior to the UFL he worked with the NC Sierra Club, John Edwards for President and a number of other organizations.
