Biography
Nayomi is a classically trained dancer with an extensive career spanning concert and commercial dance. She is currently on faculty at the Colburn School and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
After high school, she began dancing with Atlanta Ballet, and has since danced with New York Theatre Ballet, Wonderbound, and L.A. Dance Project. She has had the pleasure of performing works by Christopher Wheeldon, Val Caniparoli, Victor Quijada, Janie Taylor, Charm La Donna, Pam Tanowitz, Gemma Bond, Bobbi Jene Smith, Or Schaiber, Dimitri Chamblas, Madeline Hollander, and Benjamin Millepied, with appearances at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and the Vail International Dance Festival.
Her international performance career has brought her to renowned venues including the Sydney Opera House, Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, La Seine Musicale, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi. She performed for French President Emmanuel Macron at Les Mardis de l’Élysée, and appeared at Festival in Motion during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
In addition to her classical concert dance career, Nayomi has worked extensively in commercial dance and on screen. She opened Hermès’ Women’s FW21 runway show, performed alongside Remi Wolf on The Tonight Show, and performed in Shanghai for Bulgari’s gala, choreographed by Madeline Hollander. She has appeared in campaigns for Everlane, Bulgari, Richard Mille, and St. John. Most recently, she appeared in a national Metro by T-Mobile commercial that aired during the 2026 NBA Playoffs and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as well as a three-part online series for a Toyota campaign. Her screen credits also include Death in the Desert, winner of Best Short Film at the 2024 Breckenridge Film Festival, and CopycataClysm.
Nayomi is excited to bring her experience to LMU and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with the next generation of dancers.
