Biography
Neil Kelley is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director for the Marketing Subject Group at Leeds Business School. Neil is responsible for all undergraduate marketing degrees: Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations, Digital Marketing. As well as this Neil is also Course Director for the Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeship and the Digital Marketing degree partnership with National Economics University, Vietnam.
Neil is a Chartered Marketer and a Level Verifier at the Chartered Institute of Marketing, responsible for their Level 4 qualifications, and was previously an examiner at the University of Cambridge. He is also an external examiner at Nottingham Trent University. He is currently undertaking his doctorate, conducting research into student experiences of learning communities through blended learning.
Neil specialises in marketing communications, with a strong focus on digital marketing and planning. Prior to moving back into education, Neil worked in a number of marketing roles, as well as providing training and services, with organisations such as Electronic Arts, Toyota, Trading Standards Institute, Daresbury Laboratories and several Professional Bodies. Neil continues his professional involvement in marketing through projects such as Business Growth Initiative, Help to Grow, consultancy and research.
Among his achievements, Neil has won three Golden Robes, student-led awards from the Students' Union and University, as Personal Tutor of the Year and Module Leader for Module of the Year, Digital Marketing, and Course Director of the Year. Neil has also been on the judging panels for the CIM Marketing Excellence Awards and the DMA Awards.
