Biography
Neil is a scriptwriter, ideas junkie, entrepreneur and professional optimist. He is Chairman of the Digital Media Forum, a network of digital media companies in Ireland and a board member of the Broadcasting Authority Of Ireland’s Contracts Committee as well as sitting on the board of a number of tech start-ups. He is project advisor for WorldIrish.com - an initiative to connect the Irish Diaspora online and was also the winner of Your Country, Your Call - a nationwide competition to get ideas that will lift Ireland out of the economic gloom. The big idea: to create an International Digital Services Centre to make Ireland the global gateway for digital content and services between the US and Europe.

2010-09-29
In 2010, through the auspices of the Irish Presidency, a competition was run globally to come up with an idea to help Ireland out of economic turmoil. The prize was 100,000 euro for the individual and 500,000 euro towards the execution of the project. Out of over 9000 entries, I had the winning concept for an International Digital Services Centre. In the last quarter of 2012, we aim to launch the Centre.

Tim Duggan, CEO | Screen Leaders Europe
“Neil is a thought leader and highly insightful individual in digital media, film, financing and the digital landscape at a higher level. Ive always enjoyed meeting up, working with and working parellel to Neil and his work in the Digital media services centre project is outstanding not only from its scope, but also in the projects regenerative effect on Irelands previously floundering attitude towards digital services. In some way he has been a mentor to me from bak in the Windmill Lane picture days and he continues to be the voice of reason. I hope that Neil continues to break new boundaries and put in place the frameworks for our new smart economy.” J
