Biography
I began my career with Barclays Bank in the early 80s in the UK. I progressed rapidly through various roles in the branch network before moving to senior operational and change management roles at Regional and Head Office level. On leaving Barclays, I was Change Director, using my experience in managing both people and leading the people element of large-scale change projects which I subsequently utilised in providing change management consultancy and development work for global organisations and leading the people work-stream of change programmes affecting as many as 5,000 people.
I co-founded The Colour Works International in September 2003 and The Colour Works has established itself as one of the leading Learning & Development organisations in the UK and also have clients in Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and the USA.
At The Colour Works we believe everyone in an organisation can make a positive unique contribution to it. We believe with our facilitation style, passion and cutting-edge learning, we unlock that potential to the benefit of the individual, team and organisation.
Combining my behavioural psychology and leadership experience, I co-founded The Colour Works to deliver learning and development solutions to maximise performance at individual, team and organisational level by focussing on the lowest common denominator – people.
I am also in demand as a guest speaker at national events, talking on my favourite subject, harnessing the skills of those leading change and the teams who support them.
Recent testimonials:
“Nick delivered a fascinating and high-energy presentation which was highly recommended and enjoyed by delegates, who left the meeting having gained an insight into their own personality, and a greater understanding of their colleagues.”
“Nick spoke at our annual International Project Management Day Conference and has spoken at a number of our events in the past. Nick makes an immediate impact with this informal, almost fun (yes, fun!) approach to presenting. That said, Nick has an important point to make and make no mistake his style ensures everyone takes something away whilst enjoying themselves into the bargain. I'm sure we'lll be inviting Nick back to share his insights again in the future.”
