Biography

Nori has been a successful educator and administrator for over 25 years. She has held variety of positions across public and higher education.

Nori currently oversees a Title V grant, Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers Today Through Technology (PT5). This cooperative grant includes an initiative to redesign the University of La Verne's Liberal Studies Program. Her dual role on this grant is to both act as the grant activity director and to oversee the development of an instructional design service for faculty.

Prior to working on the grant, Nori was the Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning. In this role, she developed and implemented online certification courses to support online course development. She also developed a pedagogically based training series on using Blackboard's LMS tools to support purposeful, high quality instruction and effective course design. She has designed and taught a 4-course certificate program; New Learning Technology Certificate to prepare future educators to design and teach online courses.

Nori continues to teach as an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education and Organizational Leadership.

Nori's previous experience includes teaching elementary, middle, and high school. Her work with collaborative core instruction and Special Education mainstreaming earned her the 1993 Reader's Digest Hero in Education Award. Nori earned her California Administrative license and spent several years with the California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP). She also served as a staff development coordinator for two large school districts. Nori designed and delivered training for other groups including Casio Cameras in Education, and the Association for California School Administrators (ACSA).

In additional her education experience, Nori also toured with the inaugural Lollapalooza event as the tour publicist. She also spent a year in Santa Fe, NM completing an apprenticeship with a goldsmith.
