PAMELA LOVE MANNING is an adjunct lecturer at the Virtual Academic Center, teaching the foundation research methods course.
A certified professional coach, leadership consultant, trainer and inspirational speaker, she is co-owner of Totally About Purpose and founder of the Finishers Network, which offers seminars, coaching, and products and services designed to help individuals address emotional barriers and achieve their goals. She is also the author or co-author of four self-help books. Her second book has been used by a number of universities, individuals and organizations as a tool for teaching values-based decision-making. As the former chair of a university board, Manning works with nonprofit boards and leaders of organizations on strategic planning, board development, and management and staffing issues. She has written training curricula and facilitated many leadership and personal development seminars and trainings in various parts of the United States.
Prior to joining USC, she taught part time in the social work, psychology and family studies departments at various universities in Maryland. She also served as a full-time associate professor for an undergraduate social work program in Maryland before she left to operate her business full time. For 10 years, she worked as a research administrator for a multimillion dollar-funded department of the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
Her research interests include women and trauma and goal attainment for individuals who have experienced early trauma.
