Paul Burdell

Paul Burdell is a top investment banker who left a successful career trading derivatives and bonds for JP Morgan Chase, United Bank of Kuwait and DIJ to form three major financial companies. In 1987, Burdell opened Octagon Analytics, which was active in the European corporate debt market. A year later, he co-launched the Octagon Group, which made headlines as the first proprietary hedge fund in Europe.

Paul Burdell continued on his business path and in 1998, co-founded Link Financial Group and LCM Partners where, as CEO, he is responsible for new product development, Group strategy and direction, as well as managing many of LCM’s key client relationships. Concurrently, with his Group responsibilities, from 2008 to 2016 he was a Senior Adviser to the European Central Bank on its ABS Loan Level Data initiative as well as the Architect and co-founder of the European DataWarehouse.
