Author of the International best-selling Roy Grace crime novels, selling over 15 million copies worldwide and translated into 36 languages.
"Dead Like You", "Dead Man’s Grip" and "Not Dead Yet" went straight into the Sunday Times bestseller lists at No. 1 in both hardback and paperback, and "Dead Man’s Time" went straight in at No. 1 in paperback in the Sunday Times bestseller lists in October 2013. In the Autumn of 2012, "Not Dead Yet" toppled the "50 Shades Of Grey" trilogy off the No. 1 paperback fiction slot, ending its 25 week domination of the chart. ‘The Perfect Murder’ (a novella) went straight in at No. 1 in the iBooks chart and spent 40 consecutive weeks in the iBooks Top 10. It has been adapted into a play called ‘The Perfect Murder’ currently starring Robert Daws and Dawn Steele, which has been on a tour of the UK since January 2014. The first Roy Grace novel "Dead Simple" has been adapted into a play and starts its nationwide tour in January 2015.
An established film producer and script writer, Peter was educated at Charterhouse then Ravensbourne film school. He produced numerous films, including "The Merchant Of Venice", starring Al Pacino. Both a film and a TV adaptation of the Roy Grace series is currently in development, with Peter overseeing all aspects. He has an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Brighton in recognition of his services to literature and the community, is Patron of Neighbourhood Watch nationwide, Patron of Crimestoppers in Sussex, Patron of Brighton & Hove Samaritans, and Patron of The Whitehawk Inn. Peter has been Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association and has won many literary awards, including the publicly voted ITV3 Crime Thriller Awards People’s Bestseller Dagger and he was shortlisted for the Wellcome Trust Book Prize. As popular internationally as in the UK, he won the US Barry Award, for Best British Crime Novel in 2012.
