Biography

Welcome! I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the History Department of the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts. I teach courses on Mexican History, Latin American History (colonial and modern), and East Asian History. For the future, I hope to create courses on Philippine History, Sports History, Pacific History, among others.

My research focuses on colonial Mexico (New Spain) and the trade networks of merchants that extended across the Pacific Ocean and throughout the Spanish colonies in the 17th century. I specialize in the history of Colonial Latin America, Colonial Philippines, Pacific Ocean, and World History.

I am always happy to meet current and prospective students, and collaborate with colleagues across the university and beyond. Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you.
