Ralph Ferrara

Litigator Ralph Ferrara has received recognition from a number of prominent legal publications and professional organizations. In addition to being listed in Chambers USA and The Legal 500 United States, Ralph Ferrara was named Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top Washington Lawyer” in the field of securities in 2013.

Ferrara currently practices law with Proskauer in Washington, DC, where he concentrates primarily on securities litigation and white-collar defense and investigations. Together with fellow members of his team, he provides a full range of legal services to clients and advises them in areas such as shareholder derivative suits, United States Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement, class actions and white-collar prosecutions. Ralph Ferrara frequently helps corporations address important consumer financial services issues and counsels boards of directors and corporate officers on government enforcement proceedings and corporate internal investigations.

Ralph Ferrara earned his LL.M. from George Washington University Law School and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati. He spent a significant portion of his career as General Counsel with the SEC and served as Branch Chief in the agency’s Division of Enforcement. Ferrara also held leadership positions with two internationally recognized law firms in Washington, DC.

Ferrara is admitted to practice law in the U.S. Supreme Court, six U.S. Courts of Appeals, three U.S. District Courts and the District of Columbia Superior Court.
