Biography

Dr. Richard Stafford is currently a professor in the Executive MBA program and was previously the associate dean and director of the Executive MBA Program at Loyola Marymount University. He played a key role in the development of LMU’s EMBA Program and has been a part of the EMBA faculty since 2000. He’s taught a number of courses over the years, including “Strategic Use of Human Resources” and the “International Project Business Plan.” In addition, he accompanies EMBA students on the international trip each spring. His areas of expertise include human resources management, international business and strategic planning.

In addition to his contributions at LMU, Stafford is the founder of Human Capital Management, a firm dedicated to helping organizations develop and implement leading-edge human resource strategies. He previously worked for several prestigious firms, including Montgomery Watson, Inc. and Hughes Aircraft Company.

Stafford received an Ed.D. degree from Harvard University, an M.A. degree from the University of California, Davis, and M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Human Resources Roundtable at UCLA and the Human Resource Advisory Committee at California State University, Long Beach.
