Biography

Robin received his master degree in Hydrogeology from the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland. Robin is an expert in FEFLOW, Modflow Surfact, Inverse Modelling and Sensitivity Analysis (PEST) for saturated and non-saturated flow systems. Robin is also specialist in ArcGIS, MATLAB, and 3D Geomodeller (a high level 3D geology modelling software) as support for the model development and hydrogeology studies. In parallel to his position at DHI, he is currently working on his Ph.D. of Hydrogeology focusing on numerical flow modelling optimization for mine hydrogeology projects. Robin is currently leading hydrogeological numerical modellers for several mine site projects in Peru. All of these projects have seepage analysis related to mine waste facilities and mine dewatering components.

The Master work has been realized in Karstic Hydrogeology in costal aquifer, south of Spain, in collaboration with Dr. Nicolas Goldscheider (UNINE) and Dr. Bartolome. Andreo (Uni. de Malaga). Activities and Societies: In 2003 1 Year of exchange with the University of Granada Spain.

En 2007, suite à un Master en hydrogéologie à l’Université de Neuchâtel, Robin Dufour s’est envolé pour une première expérience professionnelle au Pérou. On le retrouve aujourd’hui chez MWH Global à Lima, comme responsable du département de modélisation des eaux souterraines. Parallèlement à son activité professionnelle, Robin Dufour a entamé en 2011 un doctorat en hydrogéologie à l’UniNE.
