Biography
Dr Robin Wood is an unusual blend of global thinker, entertainer, futurist, straight talking innovator & change agent - an explorer of the far frontiers of technology, business, culture and society. Robin takes his audiences on journeys of discovery through the critical trends & possibilities that enable us to transform the future & realise our brilliance as individuals, organizations and societies.
Robin works with leaders and organizations globally to co-create thriving futures as a speaker, writer, consultant & as President of The Renaissance2 Foundation. He has worked at board level with the world’s leading organizations across all sectors in 35 countries on 4 continents over three decades, & founded, developed & supported hundreds of organizations to realize their full potential in sustainable ways. He is also an entrepreneur, jazz musician & poet.
Dr Wood is author of several award winning books & has been a Fellow at the Centre for Management Development at London Business School. His doctorate from LBS focused on strategic alignment, leading to the development of the alignment wheel organizational diagnostic system used in hundreds of major organizations.

Co-designed and led two management development initiatives for the top 100 executives in ZF globally: The “Global Fitness Forum” and the “Horizon Programme”. Both programmes focused on the response of ZF to the globalisation of the automotive industry, while developing practices required for a learning organisation.

Robin and his colleagues led a major organisational transformation project for the director of East London Hospital Complex, including the assessment of the top leadership team and and the development of a roadmap for the way forward for the Complex and its leaders. This involved the application of the Organisational Alignment Wheel together with Peoplescan Values Analysis.

Robin co-led the campaign against apartheid and for the release of Nelson Mandela, on a broad range of fronts. Many of his fellow student leaders were arrested, tortured and some unfortunately died in prison. Luckily Robin is still alive to tell the tale.
