Biography
Dr. Alamo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential. She has over 25 years of experience in social work serving children, youth and families in diverse settings to include schools, community based organizations, public child welfare and health care. Her career has focused on promoting the well-being, health, and mental health of vulnerable populations along with building the appropriate infrastructures that will support them. Dr. Alamo currently co-leads an innovative initiative that brings together law enforcement and social work professionals to create meaningful change in regards to how these two fields collaborate to support communities in need. She is the Region I Director for NASW CA-Chapter.
