
Biography
Sam Kolodezh is an educator, scholar, and artist. At LMU he teaches primarily Theater History courses TH 240 and TH 245. His research interests include Shakespeare, adaptation, queer theory and performance, performance philosophy, contemporary Indian theater, camp, ridiculous theater, temporality and identity, and transversal poetics. He has published in Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Multicultural Shakespeare, Theater International, and a variety edited collections. He is also a theater-maker and choreographer and has worked in the US, the Netherlands, Palestine, and Kenya. When he's not teaching, researching, or working on shows, he enjoys exploring food, cocktail, and craft beer scenes, playing video games and MTG with his friends, dancing, and hanging out with his girlfriend and their two cats in San Diego.
