Biography
Samuel Silvers is the Northeast Regional Managing Partner, effective March 2012. Previously, Sam was the Global Leader of the Finance Transformation practice of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL).
In addition to his DTTL role, Sam led a separate Americas Finance Transformation initiative, seeking to build Finance Transformation practices across the entire Americas region. He was the leader of the US Finance Transformation practice from its inception until March, 2011.
Sam has authored multiple publications and white papers around finance transformation including "Breathing Lessons" straight talk for CFOs, "When CFOs Debate," "FT a la carte," and "How to leverage sustainability initiatives for finance transformation." He, in conjunction with Knowledge@Wharton, has established the "Eye on Latin American Finance" website that provides insight into challenges facing Latin American finance executives.
Sam holds a bachelor of science from Drexel University and an MBA from Temple University. He currently serves on the board of Philadelphia Youth Network and was the former Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of Delaware Valley. He resides in suburban Philadelphia, with his wife and three children.

When CFOs Debate, a new book released by Deloitte, is designed to help chief financial officers as they think through some of the most pressing issues they face and see all sides of the argument when it comes to critical business decisions. Issues covered in the book include: automating financial systems, providing earnings guidance, offshoring, investing in going "green," adopting International Financial Reporting Standards, and attracting and retaining the best talent.
