Biography
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar is the medical director of UF Health Pain Medicine –Springhill and director of the endoscopic spine fellowship, which is the first and only one of its kind fellowship in the country. His grant-funded research work uses artificial intelligence in image analysis to create smart software that can guide future fluoroscopy-guided procedures. Endoscopic spine surgery, trigeminal neuralgia, and facial/head pain are specific interests of mine, as is generally any chronic pain from head to toe.

Stellate Ganglion Block for Intractable Hiccups Secondary to a Motor Vehicle Collision
CureusDaniel J. Lopez, Sanjeev Kumar
2023-04-02
Intractable repetitive hiccups are a rare prolongation of the common physiologic reflex arc. If left untreated, chronic hiccups can decrease a patient's quality of life. Many nonpharmacologic, pharmacologic, and interventional treatment modalities have emerged. A 53-year-old male with a past medical history of a motor vehicle collision (MVC) two years earlier presented to a pain clinic with hiccups lasting several months.
Proximal Tibiofibular Joint Dysfunction as a Cause of Persistent Knee Pain After Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Case Series and Literature Review

Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a common procedure for end-stage osteoarthritis of the tibiofemoral and patellafemoral joints. Despite a good outcome in many patients, persistent knee pain after TKA poses a significant challenge. Proximal tibiofibular joint (PTFJ) osteoarthritis has been seen as a rare cause of such pain. In this case series, we share our experience diagnosing PTFJ dysfunction and managing it with intra-articular ultrasound-guided injections.
Endoscopic Resection of Pseudoarticulation as a Treatment for Bertolotti's Syndrome
CureusEric Stein, et. al
2023-01-05
Bertolotti's syndrome is described as lower back pain with the presence of lumbosacral transitional vertebrae (LSTV) associated with an articulation, pseudoarticulation, or full fusion of the transverse process to the sacrum and ilium. We present a unique case of the management of a 57-year-old woman with treatment-resistant lower back pain who underwent endoscopic resection of a pseudoarticulation related to LSTV. The patient underwent multiple treatment regimens without achieving satisfactory relief.
