Biography
Scott Yaphe is a Managing Director of Schooner Capital, a private investment firm founded in 1971. Scott focuses on investment opportunities in venture and growth-stage companies.
Before joining Schooner, Scott was a General Partner with ABS Ventures, a multi-stage investment firm. Previously, he was Director of Corporate Development at Saraide (acquired by Infospace) and a management consultant with AT Kearney where he focused on corporate strategy in emerging market regions.
Scott serves or has served on numerous public and private company boards. Recent investments at Schooner include Emerald Cloud Lab, Selux Diagnostics, Cyft, Censinet, Exithera and Maxwell Health (acquired by SunLife Financial). Selected prior investments include Adeptra (acquired by FICO), Synchronoss Technologies (NASDAQ:SNCR), Workbrain (TSX:WB), Cognio (acquired by Cisco) and Paratek (acquired by RIM).
Scott received his MBA from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.
