SERGIO RIZZO-FONTANESI is an adjunct lecturer at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. He teaches courses on the science of social work and evidence-based practice.
He serves as a research associate at the UCLA Health and Social Justice Partnership, where he is engaged in various program evaluation projects with nonprofit and public service agencies around Los Angeles County. In collaboration with Jorja Leap from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs’ Department of Social Welfare, he is currently directing a longitudinal evaluation of Beit T’Shuvah, a long-standing, faith-based drug, alcohol and gambling rehabilitation center.
His research interests broadly focus on the intersections between culture, mental health and spirituality.
