Biography

Shane G. Owens, Ph.D., ABPP, is a board-certified behavioral and cognitive psychologist, and a dad. He is the assistant director of Campus Mental Health Services at Farmingdale State College and is a sought-after authority on college-student and young-adult mental health. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical and school psychology from Hofstra University.

Dr. Owens’ scholarly work has appeared in Aggressive Behavior and the Journal of Applied Social Psychology. He is a member of the editorial board of Evidence-Based Practice in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
