Biography
Sharon Fuentes is an award winning humor columnist, parenting guru, special needs advocate, co-author of The Don’t Freak Out Guide to Parenting Kids with Asperger’s and connoisseur of exclamation points! She has written numerous feature pieces and essays which have appeared in different Regional, National and International publications including the Best Seller Book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Raising Kids on the Spectrum.
Sharon is now applying her conversational and witty approach to writing to the public speaking realm where she is entertainingly spreading her message to parents everywhere that there really is nothing to “FREAK OUT” about! She is also available to do educators workshops and author signings.

Homework and School Success for Children with Special Needs
For the parents of children with special needs, homework time can be a daily battle. Learn specific tools to guide your child through some of the challenges of the homework process, including techniques to help with memorization; positive feedback to increase motivation;why punishments aren’t effective; and how to implement a simple reward system that works.
