Dr. Shaun Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. He received his BA from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, his MS from Arkansas State University, and his PhD from West Virginia University. His research and teaching focuses on the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives of organizations, specifically, in the context of sports. Moreover, Dr. Anderson examines activism within sport, sport organizations and community development, and the social well-being of athletes. He has presented both nationally and internationally on various topics related to sport and social change. He has also been featured in the Huffington Post, World Policy Institute Blog, the Toronto Star, Your Black World, the Good Men Project, and several other media outlets. Outside of the classroom, he is a highly sought after speaker and corporate trainer in the areas of leadership, decision making process, diversity and inclusion, and developing effective communication strategies between organizations and its publics.
