SHAWNMARI KAISER is an adjunct assistant professor and teaches graduate-level courses on human development and direct-practice theories and techniques.
A licensed clinical social worker, she has more than 20 years of clinical and administrative experience in social work. Specializing in the health and behavioral health fields, she works with patients who suffer from severe mental illness and acute, chronic and terminal illness. She also provides counseling for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Southern California Chapter, as well as clinical social work services at the Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, California.
She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and a master’s degree in social work from USC.
