Biography
Over the years I have learned that doing what I like best requires a wide variety of skills. I have come to value communication, visibility, collaboration, feedback and continuous delivery as core to process. When writing code I value quality from the start, cleanliness, simplicity, readability, changeability, testability and ease of use. I am a true Agile evangelist with experience in both contributing to, and helping others to become better at producing excellent software together with demanding customers.
As a manager I believe in harnessing the intellect of the employees and giving them great freedom in doing and deciding how to do their work.

Deploying Java web applications with zero downtime
When practicing continuous delivery it may be a problem if you have downtime every time you deploy to production. Your goal is to deploy as often as you can, so this is a problem you need to solve. In this talk I will show how you can avoid downtime when deploying Java web applications. I will show how to deploy (and roll back) new versions of your web application, and also how to handle database schema changes (and roll back) between deployments
