Queen Mary 2: Genesis of a Queen
At the age of 7 I watched BBC TV's Blue Peter programme about the liner Queen Elizabeth. I knew then that I wanted to grow up to be a designer of passenger ships. At 37 I was entrusted with the design and construction supervision of Queen Mary 2 -the largest true liner ever built. The talk describes how my interest developed and how I succeeded in realising my dream.
