Biography
Steven Andersen joined J.S. Held in November of 2022 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Frostbyte Consulting.
Steven has spent over 20 years in the sustainability industry, with specific experience in enterprise and business architecture for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) risk management and compliance programs. Within sustainability, Steven specializes in environmental management systems, greenhouse gas data management systems, and enterprise data integration. During the past five years, Steven has been advising enterprise clients on the transition to a focus on ESG risk and opportunities, with an emphasis on climate and environmental issues. Most of Steven’s direct clients are large multinationals with varying risk exposure across geographies and operations. Steven’s advisory services commonly use several lenses, including stakeholder analysis, operational analysis, efficiency considerations, and inter-operability of datasets and systems. He commonly fills the role of sponsor on large-scale sustainability data initiatives, consults on ESG strategy and corporate programs, and has performed the role of solution architect on many sustainability data management projects.
Steven was instrumental in establishing partnerships with leading global providers of sustainability data management systems. Many of J.S. Held’s consulting and implementation projects are anchored to the implementation of these data management platforms.
Within the sustainability practice, Steven advises clients on a wide variety of environmental issues, focusing on data management, insight, and cultural change. Steven designs and implements tailored corporate programs and data management systems to support proactive management of ESG risks and opportunities, with a specialization in large-scale greenhouse gas management programs. Additionally, Steven works with J.S. Held to support its own sustainability initiatives, ESG programs, and sustainability reporting. As the former founder of Frostbyte Consulting, Steven supports the performance of the EHS & ESG Digital Solutions business unit in all aspects, including governance, sales and marketing, consulting, and client relationship management. Steven is responsible for business development for the EHS & ESG Digital Solutions unit, as well as partnerships and new products and services.
