Biography
An internationlly acclaimed inspirational speaker for over 10 years, Sue Kenney inspires her audience with hilariously funny, intensely moving and dramatically engaging stories about her journey when she was downsized from a corporate telecom account executive to embarking on a journey walking 780 kilometers over 29 days on a medieval pilgrimage route in Spain known as the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. She went alone in the winter on a spiritual quest that guided her to a clear understanding of her purpose in this world. It's a story about seeing the possibilities we have to re-create ourselves and then acting on them.
Sue speaks from a place of truth, life experience and expertise. After 24 years in the telecom industry in marketing, customer service, corporate communications, training, operations and sales, she had done it all. She bravely left her ordinary world and embarked on a quest to face her fears. This resulted in becoming more creative in her life. Her first book My Camino is a Canadian best-seller and is now in development as a feature film. She's since written another book, Confessions of a Pilgrim and produced a feature length documentary and recently recorded her book as an audiobook.
If you want to inspire creativity, passion, commitment and leadership with a theme of being on a journey, Sue's keynote presentation can be customized for you. Sue has walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela 8 times, coaching and guiding several groups each year. She is a life coach, workshop facilitator and inspirational speaker. She can be seen walking barefoot at times and now offers workshops on the Healing Powers of Being Barefoot.
