Biography

Sunah Lee is an Assistant Professor of Journalism at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Her research explores the political economy of media and media industries with a focus on digital journalism, labor, gender, and within a global context. As a teacher, she values an engaging learning environment that can provide authentic human connection and real-life experiences.
Before entering academia, Lee spent over a decade working as a TV journalist at a 24-hour news channel in South Korea. She developed particular expertise in North Korean affairs, inter-Korean relations, and the prospects for Korean unification.
