Susan Finerty is the Author of "Master the Matrix: 7 Essentials for Getting Things Done in Complex Organizations (launching January 2012). She has held adjunct faculty roles at Northwestern University and Loyola University-Chicago. She is the Principal Consultant of Finerty Consulting, which was established in 2004. Her consulting practice focuses on organizational effectiveness—helping organizations design and implement change, helping teams work effectively together and coaching individuals on communication, influence and leadership. Susan began her 20+ year career in two small pharmaceutical companies before joining Baxter International in 1995. She has a blog focused on leadership that can be found at and a blog focused on matrix management at . She has a BA from Central Michigan University and an MA from Indiana University. She resides in suburban Chicago with her husband and three children.
