Tainã Coleman

Tainã Coleman is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Loyola Marymount University. Her research spans scientific workflows, multi-agent AI systems, and high-performance computing, driven by one question: how do we make large-scale computing infrastructure usable by the scientists who need it?

Much of that work centers on the Agents of Intelligence framework, a human-in-the-loop multi-agent system deployed within the National Data Platform, which coordinates specialized agents for hardware selection, model recommendation, and knowledge extraction. She also contributes to the WfCommons ecosystem and to digital twin infrastructure for wildfire modeling, and works on responsible AI in Indigenous language revitalization.

She is passionate about teaching and has mentored many students over the years. In her faculty appointment, she looks forward to teaching the foundational structures of computer science and bringing a deep dive into high-performance computing to her students.
