As a member of the IDEA faculty development team, Tara brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, specifically in faculty development, instructional design, curriculum & course development, outcome assessment and academic improvement planning. Tara completed her Master’s degree in American Studies, Media Studies and English Literature at University of Paderborn, Germany. She is completing her Ph.D. in Global & Sociocultural Studies at Florida International University. Prior to joining IDEA, Tara was an Academic Consultant at Pearson Higher Education Division. Tara’s years of working as Faculty Development Director at Miami International University of Art & Design and as Faculty Development Specialist at EDMC, has given her a good grasp of how the IDEA system data provides insight for faculty and continuous academic improvement planning.
Tara is originally from Tehran, Iran, she has lived in London and Germany and speaks German and Farsi. In her spare time, Tara loves reading, writing and listening to Podcasts. She enjoys spending time with her friends in Miami and her family in Los Angeles.
