Biography
Teresa Thompson, PhD, is a member of the adjunct faculty in the School of Media Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Thompson has been involved in promoting respect for equal rights and nondiscrimination of people with disabilities. She has been instrumental in helping to bring public awareness to appreciate the need to reform Guardianship laws and practices in the state of California, especially in the area of voting rights. She worked as a consultant with the Disability and Abuse Project on the 2012 National Survey on “Abuse of People with Disabilities: The First Report, Victims and Their Families Speak Out.”
