Biography
Hello, I was born and bred in Buffalo, N.Y. and still cheer for "my" Bills and Sabres - no matter what. I have spent the last 15 years in NASCAR as an award-winning author, writer and radio personality covering the sport. I've also been part of two Daytona 500 championships (Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Michael Waltrip) and two NASCAR Nationwide Series championships. My association with NASCAR Hall of Fame driver and three-time Daytona 500 champion Bobby Allison led to my first book, "Bobby Allison - A Racer's Racer" which was followed by the five-time award-winning Children's Book, "Funny Dan the Race Car Man."
During my tenure with NASCAR.com, Dale Earnhardt, Inc, MRN Radio and Richard Childress Racing, I worked with multiple "stars" of the NASCAR world. I also worked my witty chops via some stand up comedy work. Having been a track announcer and hospitality suite MC for years, my ability to work with people and entertain them has been well received.
My time in the US Navy taught me to show up on time, do the job as best you can and leave them with a great impression. I'd be glad to do the same for your organization.

Have won writing awards from the Northeast Motorsports Association (2001 and 2002) and the National Motorsports Press Association (2008). Earned a Mom's Choice Award, Honorable Mentions from the London Book Festival, Hollywood Book Festival, Los Angeles Book Festival and Reader's Review boards for "Funny Dan the Race Car Man"
