How do leaders succeed despite tricky workplace politics?
“When I became Colonial Life’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, the company had not been growing as quickly as expected,” said Tim Arnold, president and CEO, Colonial Life. “While it could have been easy to place the blame on our sales partners who market our products to customers, our agents and broker partners had their own concerns. Our sales organization needed some answers to some difficult problems, and they needed to know we were listening to them, and working to help them be successful. Without intervention, we weren’t going to achieve our goals or our potential.”
